Design Management
Once the design process moves into delivery with a contractor on-board to manufacture or construct the need for design continuity remains. Detailed decisions will have to be made when the construction process throws up unexpected situations. At this time it is invaluable to have someone acting as the "guardian" of the original design; someone who understands its genesis and rationale; someone who understands what is important and must be retained and where compromise can be made.
What do we do?
We provide a "light touch" continuity of design input through the implementation stages of the proejct through to site acceptance and commissioning. We build a solid working relationship with the contractor and are available to resolve emerging design issues.
We like to visit site regularly to track progress and ensure that the design intent is carried through into the construction. This gives our clients confidence that the design they want is what they get from the contractor.
