North Wales Police have created a new dedicated fallback facility to provide resilience for their Force Communications Centre. The facility handles emergency calls whenever the Force Communications Centre is out of action.

CCD worked with NWP to understand the operational requirements for the fallback facility and used that understanding to develop a functional room layout design that was developed and verified through collaboration with the various project stakeholders. CCD then developed a furniture performance specification and a lighting specification for the new fallback facility.

CCD gave expert advice to NWP to help them to procure furniture that will support the needs of control room operators and maintenance staff and be flexible enough to allow reconfiguration of the layout design if the operational use of the facility changes.

NWP are pleased to have a new fallback facility ready to be used and providing everything they need to respond efficiently to their operational requirements whenever necessary.
